About

Hi! I’m Tina Russo Coash. I first came to yoga in Connecticut, (USA.) While I was working as a writer at the time, I knew after my first yoga class, yoga would be a huge part of my life. In 2007, after relocating to North Carolina, I enrolled in my first teaching certification program. I graduated from The Bodhi Tree with a 220 teaching certification.

Initially, I taught yoga in and around the Charlotte, NC area, including corporate yoga for Wachovia Bank. 2010 brought another move, this time to SC where I earned a Professional Writing Certification in Charleston.

In 2017, my husband, two children, and I left SC and moved to Illinois. Not only was I shocked by the amount of corn one state grows, there was a lack of a yoga studio in the area. I rented a small pop-up space by the evening, and started offering classes.

After several more certifications in yoga, the yoga studio grew and occupied its own space. Sadly, the space was closed due to Coronavirus. While locked down during corona, the idea for Christian Yoga Magazine was impressed on me. Initially a partnership with another yogi friend, Christian Yoga Magazine became my sole responsibility after the first issue. Though I miss teaching yoga, I am excited to continue to write content for the yoga field, while publishing a magazine in the same field.

My writing has appeared in Fibromyalgia Today, Atlanta Petz, Carolina Bark, and Just Labs Magazine, to name a few. I served as the Editor-In-Chief of My Petz Magazine (Charlotte) from 2008 through 2010.

I continue to live in the Midwest with my husband, USMC Sgt. William Coash. We have two children, and a zoo of pets. When I am not writing about yoga and wellness, or chasing children, I am working on my historical fiction novel. I also enjoy watching hockey (Go Bruins,) or the Mets!
